In SS2 and Cheow Yang to be exact, there’s a restaurant that specializes in serving pan mee and from a quick research I did on Google, I found out that this restaurant is actually quite famous especially in Batu Road. Honestly, I thought it wouldn’t be good as I’ve tried another chilly pan mee restaurant before and it didn’t turn out to be nice. From that day onwards, I think that restaurants selling chilly pan mee are all using the ‘chilly pan mee’ with their name as a gimmick. So what about this one?

Restaurant Super Kitchen Chilly Pan Mee is not new to people around Chow Kit Batu Road and Kepong, the other two branches they have is in Kota Damansara and this one here in SS2. Opening a branch in SS2 is definitely a good strategy as SS2 can be said as a food place now as new restaurants are coming out like mushrooms. Now does this restaurant live up to its name? Even well-known blogger at xes.cx likes this restaurant a lot for their pan mee.

I don’t fancy chilly pan mee much as I haven’t had much luck in finding a really good chilly pan mee and I don’t prefer spicy food not unless it is that good so I ordered a bowl of pan mee soup. Served with a poached egg, breaking the yolk will definitely add more taste to the soup. Taste wise I have to admit that it was pretty good and this beats many of the pan mee stalls you’ll find in coffee shops. What’s more is that it isn’t expensive here as a bowl of pan mee soup only costs RM5.50.

Curry pan mee is also one of the choices available here besides chilly pan mee. My verdict towards this restaurant? I will recommend this place to people looking for new restaurants to try out and of course pan mee lovers especially chilly pan mee lovers. I may not have tried the chilly pan mee here but from the taste of my pan mee soup and the fact that their signature dish is their chilly pan mee, I’d say that it is worth a shot at their chilly pan mee. If you ask me to briefly describe this restaurant, I would say affordable price tag and good food.
