Anti-ISA Rally in Kuala Lumpur

A rally for Anti-ISA was held 2 days ago (1st of August 2009) in Kuala Lumpur. The government took some early precautions such as having roadblocks at main city entrance and trying to catch as many participants of this Anti-ISA rally as possible. However, it really is a sad thing to see as tear gas and water cannon had to be used to control the citizens. With the recently launched 1 Malaysia campaign, I don’t see how that is going to be effective especially when a rally like this is done which will only disrupt our productivity and it might even harm other citizens. Of course, there are also stories behind this rally being sparked and I will not comment more on this. The video above briefly shows what happened during the rally which had almost 20,000 people participated. As Malaysians, I’m sure many of us would not want similar event to occur again or else we might just end up like other countries having protests and rallies every now and then. Prevention is better than cure, not needing any prevention is much better than anything else.
Online Games Bad for Teens

Shocking news from the Wan Bao today. From the 3 diaries written by the teenagers boys, they are a clan from the game of WoW called the Sexy Little Fellows (SLF). The SLF are made up of 8 teenagers in the internet from the game WoW. 2 of the team mates meet up to kill themselves yesterday and wanted to kill more devils in the heaven. They wrote in their diaries “last day in the earth” and meet to go to heaven to continue to play the game WoW.
If this is the truth why they commit suicide, all parents should be very worried now for their kids, they will be too devoted in their game and made the wrong steps. I also played WoW last 2 years, not frequently but there should be no content of “continue to kill in heaven” from what I know. Their are still trying to find the other members in SLF, no news of any of the others now.
I find it really crazy for teenagers to be doing such thing just from playing online games. It is ridiculous when they say they want to kill more devils in heaven and so decided to kill themselves and continue “killing devils” in heaven. Most teenagers these days are really into games and when they devote themselves to the game, things like this happen. More cases of teenagers killing themselves as a result from games especially online games are coming up and something has to be done to combat this issue. What say you regarding this matter ?
